Event entry general Information

  • ·      To enter you need to be either

       (i)             a current member of the VMA; 

       (ii)            a registered interstate masters athlete or a registered overseas masters athlete

  • ·      Location: Melbourne’s premier athletics’ venue Lakeside Stadium which is just a 10 minute tram ride from the Melbourne CBD.
  • ·      Event is open to all athletes aged 30 years and over. Competition is in 5 year age groups for women & men, starting at ages 30-34. 
  • ·       Medal placings will be awarded to the top three placegetters in each age group to all Victorian athletes. Likewise, medals also to be awarded to athletes competing “by invitation”.  There will also be medals for the

        (i)             best &

       (ii)            most improved age-graded performances.

  • ·       This event has a full complement of paid officials and some support helpers. All recorded performances for both individual events and the overall Pentathlon are recognized for setting of records.    
  • ·       The cost of entry to the event is $20, which covers all five Pentathlon events. In addition there is a 5$ fee the help offset the cost of paid officials and helpers.  
  • ·       All Victorian athletes are to wear the athletics top of either

               (i)    their Masters mid-week venue; 

              (ii)     “home track” eg. AV club; (iii) any other top as agreed with Event Manager

  • ·       No VMA tops are to be worn as this is a VMA not AMA run event.
