Victorian Masters 30+ 10 mile Road  Championship

 Location: Knox Athletics Track, Bunjil Way, off Ferntree Gully Road

Sign-in on-the-day: before 8:30 am (check-in to confirm participation by 6pm Saturday 16th August)

Start: 9:00 am         

Includes the VMA 30+ Championship series Browne Shield competition

The 10mile  Road Championship is the fourth of the five events in the winter series of the VMA Browne Shield competition.  This competition also includes awards for the "most consistent" and "most improved" athlete based on the age graded percentages for both male and female athletes.   You need to compete in at least FOUR of the five events to be eligible for these awards.    

The five events of the Browne Shield are: 1. 6/8km Cross Country – June 1st (completed) ; 2. 10,000m Track, Casey Cardinia – June 29th; 3. 10km Road, Braeside Park – July 20th; 4.  10 Mile Road, Knox – August 17th; 5. Half Marathon, Burnley - September 7th.

To enter you need to be 30+years of age and be a Masters’ affiliated athlete. VMA members: enter using link sent in event email sent to all VMA members the day that event entry opened = Wednesday June 5th, 2025. This is quicker than using the general event entry as your personal details are pre-populated. If you are not a VMA member or are not a Masters affiliated athlete see next section. Interstate & Overseas athletes: are welcome to compete by invitation.

 Any non-masters affiliated athlete will be required to join Victorian Masters Athletics (VMA) – for the special new member cost of just $15 prior to entering the event. This can be done at:  https://emlsports.com/registration/vma-membership-2025.  VMA membership will allow athletes to participate in any VMA activities/events throughout 2025 up to October 31st. To enter, go the VMA website https://vicmastersaths.org.au/ and click on the event entry link.  

All athletes are to wear their 30+ Team / Venue competition tops in line with recent VMA events. Or in other words, just wear whatever your normal training/competition top is.

Event entry: $10 + 5$ Officials fee =$15. ENTRIES CLOSE Monday 11th August  @ 9:00 pm. No entries will be accepted after the entries close date or on the day.

Refunds

Refunds will be given up until the Friday before competition in the event of injury or unforeseen personal circumstances.
