To be considered for a VMA 30+  Age Graded Championship and related medals you need to  compete in the Athletics Victoria (AV) half marathon  AND notify the VMA by using this registration form. There is no cost to nominate for the VMA 30+ Half Marathon Championship.

However the cost to run in the AV half marathon is:

If you are VMA member and:

• also a AV member and hold a seasons XCR package ticket it is included in the price of this ticket.
• also a AV member and do not hold a XCR package ticket the cost  is $47 to enter the AV event..
• you are not an AV member the cost is  $57 to enter the AV event.

The half marathon Championship is the fifth and last event in the winter series of the Inter venue Browne Shield competition.  This competition also includes awards for the "most consistent" and "most improved" athlete based on the age graded percentages for both male and female athletes.   You need to compete in at least FOUR of the five events to be eligible for these awards.    

The five events are: 10,000m Track (19/5),  6/8km Cross Country 9/6),  10km Road (14/7),  10 Mile Road (11/8) and the half Marathon (8/9)

The event also counts toward the  VMA annual Teams Championship.  This Championship  includes all of the VMA’s new “marquee” Masters 30+ events  (all VMA championship events over a 12 month period) 

To enter you need to be 30+ years of age and be a Masters’ affiliated athlete. Any non-masters affiliated athlete will be required to join Victorian Masters Athletics (VMA) – for the special new member cost of just $15 prior to entering the event . This can be done at: https://emlsports.com/registration/vma-membership-2024  VMA membership  will allow you to participate in any  VMA activity throughout 2024. 

VMA championship Event entry cost is Nil. To be considered for the VMA championship  you need to register with the VMA  using this form  and enter the AV event by   Wednesday 4 September  by 11:59am

No entries will be accepted after the entries close date or on the day.
