                                                                   Victorian Masters 30+ - 10km Road Championship (Eric Greaves Memorial race)

                                                           Location: Braeside Park, Braeside (Melway Map 88 D8, Entrance Lower Dandenong Road)

Sign in by: 9:30 am, Start: 10:00 am (all athletes in the one race).         

The 10km Eric Greaves Memorial Road Championship is the third event of the five events in the winter series of the 'Browne Shield' competition.  This competition also includes awards for the "most consistent" and "most improved" athlete based on the age graded percentages for both male and female athletes.   You need to compete in at least FOUR of the five events to be eligible for these awards. Team scores are being calculated in 2026 via a revised scoring system with the Age-Graded percentages of the (i) top three women; (ii) top three men, from each team.    

The five events in the 'Browne Shield' are: 1. May 24th: 6/8km Cross Country (Collingwood) - COMPLETED; 2. June 21st: 10,000m Track Championship (Casey Cardinia); 3. July 12th: 10km Road Race (Braeside Park); 4. August 2nd: 10 Mile Road Race (Knox) & 5. August 9th to September 20th: Half Marathon (in 2026 athletes will be able to choose to compete in one of a selection of six Half Marathon events. To enter this event you need to be 30+years of age and be a Masters’ affiliated athlete. VMA members: for "quickest entry" (with most fields already filled in) enter using link sent in event email sent to all VMA members the day that event entry opened = Wednesday, May 29th.  Otherwise use the general entry link provided on the VMA website - below. 

Victorian Masters 30plus 10km Road Championship 2026 - Online Registration

Interstate and Overseas athletes are welcome to compete by invitation.  Any non-masters affiliated athlete will be required to join Victorian Masters Athletics (VMA) – for the special new member cost of just $25 prior to entering the event . This can be done via the new member link on the website, also below:

VMA membership will allow you to participate in any VMA activity throughout 2026.

All athletes are to wear their 30+ Team / Venue competition tops. Any athlete who does not have one of these can wear any uniform. 

Event entry: $15 + Admin Fee $5.  ENTRIES CLOSE Monday 6th July @ 9:00 pm. No entries will be accepted after the entries close date or on the day.

Refunds

Refunds will be given up until the Friday before competition in the event of injury or unforeseen personal circumstances.
