Victorian Masters 30+ Marathon  Championship

In recent years the VMA has used the time that members ran in the Melbourne Marathon for the basis of awarding the VMA  Championship medals.  As the Melbourne Marathon entries closed within days of opening late last year the criteria has been altered.

To be considered for a VMA 30+  Age Graded Championship and related medals you need to  compete in a marathon between the 1 August 2024 through to the 13 October 2024 the date of the Melbourne Melbourne Marathon.

The time must be in an event that has a verified measured marathon distance and that the registrar can can access publicly available results for verification.  Additionally to be considered you must register your intent and the name of the marathon that you going to compete in.

To register for consideration  of the  VMA marathon championship you need to be 30+ years of age and be a Masters’ affiliated athlete. Any non-masters affiliated athlete will be required to join Victorian Masters Athletics (VMA) – for the special new member cost of just $15 prior to eregistering for the event . This can be done at: https://emlsports.com/registration/vma-membership-2024  VMA membership  will allow you to participate in any  VMA activity throughout 2024. 

The VMA Marathon championship Event entry cost is Nil. However you will need to pay the registeration fees for the marathon you are intending to run to the organisers of the event. To be considered for the VMA championship  

You need to register with the VMA  using this form  prior to Saturday 12 October 2024  by 11:59pm

No registrations will be accepted after the above date and time.
