This calculator is based on the approved new WMA Age Grading Tables for 2023. They cover single year ages from 30 to 110. The grading factors are from the work of World Masters Athletics not EML Sports. We just built a form to make them easier to use.
The WMA Factor is used to modify the actual performance for the age and gender of the athlete and gives an estimate of the equivalent open age performance.
The Age Graded % is a relative measure of the age graded performance against an open age standard. Generally the standard is equivalent to the world record, however this is not the case for some female events, e.g. Female 100m 10.64 standard v 10.49 WR.
The 2000m was listed in the 2022 proposed factors but is not present in the 2023 factors. At the suggestion of an athlete the mile factors are being used for the 2000m on this calculator.
The 10K road was listed in the 2022 proposed factors but is not present in the 2023 factors. For now it has been removed.
